DR. EVAN 'BUNNY' DUGGAN
DR. EVAN 'Bunny' Duggan is an Associate Professor of Management Information Systems in the Culverhouse College of Commerce & Business Administration at the University of Alabama. He is currently spending his sabbatical leave at UWI's Mona campus. He obtained the Ph.D. and MBA degrees from Georgia State University in the U.S. and a B.Sc. from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica.
Professor Duggan has many years of progressive IT experience in industry and academia. He worked at Alcan Jamaica Company (now Windalco) for 25 years in all areas of IT, including the position of manager of the Information Services Department, and served a short stint as Chief Systems Analyst at Alcan's head office in Montreal, Canada, where he led a team in the development of a common IS project management methodology for use by the organisation worldwide.
His research interests involve the management of information systems (IS) in corporations, with particular reference to IS success factors and quality and systems delivery methodologies. Professor Duggan has published over 25 refereed papers in leading IS and allied journals, including Information Technology & Management, Journal of End User Computing, Information Resources Management Journal, Human-Computer Interactions, Information & Management, and Communications of the Association of Information Systems, and has contributed a number of refereed book chapters. He is on the editorial board of several IS journals. His book, Measuring Information Systems Delivery Quality (with co-editor, Han Reichgelt, a former professor of Computer Science at UWI, Mona) has just been published by Idea Group Inc.
Dr. Duggan has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in MIS and Decision Sciences in several U.S. and international institutions, and while at UWI, he teaches in the MSc. (Computer-based Information Systems), the MBA and EMBA programmes at Mona School of Business, and works closely with the IS doctoral students. He is the Conference Chair for the upcoming International Information Systems Research Conference.
Professor Duggan was recently honoured by his inclusion in Marquis Who's Who in Science and Engineering, 2005-2006.
