Backyaad Crack-up: Donna out, Rachel in
published: Tuesday | April 25, 2006

THERE HAS been a last minute change to the lineup of performers for Backyaad Crack up tomorrow.

The lone female representative in this month's Crack-up 'Battle of the Sexes' has been changed, with Donna Hadad being replaced by another top female comic, Rachel Price.

URGENT PROBLEMS

After being booked weeks in advance, and with television and radio advertisements being carried with her, Donna reportedly cancelled Monday morning due to urgent problems.

Several attempts were made to reach Hadad for further comments, but these were unsuccessful as her telephone rang without an answer on all occasions.

However, the female comics have a lot in common.

Both Donna and Rachel are from Trinidad & Tobago, both are hilarious and raunchy, and both have been hailed as the 'Queen of Caribbean Stand up Comedy'.

Both performers have graced the Jamaican stage and based on audience response, both have done well.

The show is being billed as a comic gender clash and was to feature Jamaica's top comedian Blakka Ellis squaring off with the Trinidadian.

DANCE OFF

Rachel performed in Jamaica last year for the 'Caribbean Christmas Crack-Up' and was a major hit with local audiences. Backyaad

Crack-up takes place tomorrow, and also features a dance off between the characters 'Chu-chu and Mee-mee' from Passa-Passa.

Hosts will be Pretty Boy Floyd and Elva.
