Jamaica's Prime Minister on official Trinidad and Tobago visit

SIMPSON MILLER

PRIME MINISTER Portia Simpson Miller left the island yesterday for a three-day official visit to Trinidad and Tobago. The visit, which is being made on the invitation of Trinidadian Prime Minister and Chairman of CARI-COM, Patrick Manning, is Mrs. Simpson Miller's first overseas engagement since her appointment as Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister returns to the island tomorrow. During her absence, Robert Pickers-gill, Minister of Housing, Transport and Works, will be in charge of the Government.
