Shipping Association of Jamaica's UTech Award

Tracey-Ann Barnett, 'Best Full-time Administrative Management Student' of the University of Technology's 2006 graduates, poses with the Shipping Association of Jamaica Trophy and Cash Award.

TRACEY-ANN Barnett took the Shipping Association of Jamaica Award at the University of Technology's Annual Awards Function for the Faculty of Business and Management held on Saturday, April 8, in the Alfred Sangster Auditorium.

For achieving academic excellence, Barnett was named 'Best Full-time Administrative Management Student' for which she received the prestigious Shipping Association of Jamaica trophy and a cash prize. She is now looking forward to pursuing a master's degree in human resource management.

Barnett is the daughter of Cartise Thomas and Zedekiah Barnett of Kingston. She attended Excelsior High where she received an award for 'Outstanding Performance in principles of business' and then sixth form at Camperdown High where she was Public Relations Officer for the school's Tourism Action Club. While at UTech, she served as Public Relations Officer for her faculty's Administrative Management Seminar 2006.

The Shipping Association of Jamaica has a proud record of support to education at every level and these include:
