Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ) Booth for JMA/JEA Expo 2006
published: Tuesday | April 25, 2006

Michael Bernard (left), president of the Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ), welcomes Finance Minister Dr. Omar Davies to the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica's (PSOJ) monthly breakfast, sponsored by the SAJ, at the Terra Nova Hotel last week. At right is Mrs. Beverley Lopez, president of the PSOJ.

THE SHIPPING Association of Jamaica (SAJ) will be representing its members at the JMA/JEA's Expo 2006 from April 27 to 30 at the National Arena.

Buyers and members of the public who visit the SAJ's booth will be provided with information on the services offered by the organisation and its members in facilitating trade through Jamaica's ports.

Commenting on his organisation's participation in Expo 2006, SAJ President Michael Bernard says:

"The SAJ is very pleased to be participating in Jamaica's premier trade show as Jamaica's shipping industry is integral to the growth of our manufacturing and export sectors. We will be using this opportunity to provide information to the public on our activities in providing highly-skilled labour for the Port of Kingston. Also, we will provide updates on the services offered by our Canine Department in protecting the integrity of Jamaican exports and the cutting-edge information technology services of Port Computer Services Limited."

Members of the SAJ include shipping agents, terminal operators, stevedoring companies, NVOCCs, ship owners and operators, and providers of business support services to the port community.
