GUYANA: Mourners pay tribute to slain agriculture minister

GEORGETOWN, GUYANA (CMC):

As mourners gathered for tributes to the late government minister Satyadeo 'Sash' Sawh yesterday officials of the ruling People's Progressive Party (PPP) maintained that he was the victim of political assassination.

"Comrade Satyadeow Sawh was a victim of political assassination centrally directed," said Navin Chandarpal, former Agriculture Minister and Presidential Adviser on Environment and Natural Resources, Navin Chandarpal, in his eulogy as hundreds of mourning Guyanese thronged Freedom House to pay final respects to the late minister
