CLARA MCGILCHRIST is probably the most bubbly person five years short of a century you'll ever meet. She doesn't walk with a stick, is more alert than you might expect and blessed with enough humour to cheer up a person on death row.

MCDONALD'S CORPORATION in Oak Brook, Illinois, recently presented the McDonald's President's Award to Noel Blackwood from Austel, Georgia. Blackwood is Jamaican-born and this year will mark his 17th year with the company.
