Men's, women's squads named

THE JAMAICA Table Tennis Association (JTTA) has selected men's and women's trial squads for coming international events.

Twelve male players and seven females have been named for training for the Caribbean Championships to be held in Puerto Rico from June 10-18 and the CAC Games slated for Colombia from July 15-30.

The male players are Ludlow Bailey, Gavin Hylton, Nigel Webb, Joseph Dibbs, Peter Moo Young, Darryl Strachan, Dale Parham, Christopher Marsh, Kane Watson, Marlon Chin, Oneil White and Alphanso Morris.

The women are Nina Burton, Yvonne Foster, Kaydian Carney, Andrea Wadsworth, Michelle Harris, Janelle Morris and Tracy-Ann Dattadeen.

TRAINING

Training will take place at the National Arena from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday each week, starting next Monday under the direction of the two Chinese coaches.

Trials will be held within the next three weeks to select the teams. Four males, one veteran over 34 years old and four females will be chosen and players must attend at least 60 per cent of the training sessions to be eligible for the trials.
