MOSES TOOK centrestage in 2004 and is now back by popular demand for an encore presentation. The Father Ho Lung and Friends production's second stint is slated to go on for two consecutive weekends starting May 19-21 at the National Arena. Main sponsors and media representatives gathered on the grounds of the Terra Nova Hotel to launch the show on Monday.

In attendance also were members of the cast and well-wishers. Moses, which critics have described as "spectacular," "magnificent," and "breathtaking," promises more of the same buzz this time around. With improved effects and the addition of the Dr. Lyn Luce's Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra from Florida, Moses Encore promises to be the "biggest Jamaican musical ever."

The play seeks to depict Moses' journey of faith from Egypt to Mount Sinai to the Promised Land. The main characters include; Wynton Williams as Moses, Darcy Tulloch as Zipporah and Carl Williams as Pharaoh Ramsees.

Moses Encore will also feature Renee Rattray playing Nefeteri who was in love with Moses. Miriam (Moses' sister) and Aaron (Moses' brother) will be played by Rosette Sesalaza and Leroy Palmer respectively. Dimario McDowell plays God (Yahweh).

The Friends gave renditions of I Am Who I Am and Yahweh, Yahweh from the Moses sound track to end the programme.

Father Ho Lung started Missionaries of the Poor in 1981 and it will commemorate its 25th anniversary on the second weekend of presentation, May 26-28. The "Ghetto Priest" ministries has reached the world, extending to the Americas, Asia and the wider Caribbean with a total of 15 original productions.
