Those who don't believe

THE EDITOR, Sir:
IN RESPONSE to 'Questions about Jesus', published by Ed McCoy on May 1, I must say that Ed obviously doesn't believe in anything and that's his choice. But religious persecution is not anything new. However, I don't believe that anyone should be forced to accept or reject any religion. Jesus Christ did not force Himself on anyone. He said, "Whosoever will may come." People should also have the freedom to change religion if they choose to do so, without any religious repercussions. Any religion that penalises people for making their choice of belief is a cult.
People who don't believe in God or Jesus are fools. If you don't believe in anything that makes you a double fool. If someone has a toothache and describes it to someone who has never had the experience, that person would have no clue about what's going on. So, unless you have experienced spiritual transformation, you will have no clue as to what it means to worship Jesus. Jesus is not just a name, He is God in the flesh.
Many people cannot understand the divine mysteries of the Holy Bible or the Holy Koran because they use secular knowledge to comprehend the Word, the revelation. However, there has to be a spiritual connection or else, reading the Holy book would be like reading another text. That is why the world is in a mess because some preachers water down the Gospel, twisting it to suit their own desires.
