Opposition gives Gov't failing grade
published: Friday | May 5, 2006

ROSEAU, DOMINICA (CMC):

The opposition United Workers Party (UWP) has given the ruling Dominica Labour Party (DLP) administration a failing grade, one year after the Roosevelt Skerrit-led party won the May 5, 2005 general elections.

On the eve of the government's first anniversary since the last vote, UWP leader Earl Williams charged that the administration was not keeping true to the policies outlined in its manifesto and was operating on "empty promises."

"After one year they cannot get a good report card. The report card will mark lazy, unambitious, unindustrious and as such they should be demoted," Williams said.
