All hail the educators
published: Saturday | May 13, 2006

Mai'khi C'Nia

AND IT came to pass that the day of the teacher descended upon Jamdown, and all across the land scholars paid homage to their mentors, idols and role models, and numerous activities of a complimentary nature brought joy to the hearts of the educators on their day. Yea, e'en the PTAs got in on the act, and the people saw that it was all good.

Dearly beloved, join me this day in hailing all members of that noble profession, for I Peto am eternally grateful to them for the role that they play in establishing and maintaining order in the lives of the youths of this nation: nurturing them, developing character, shaping them into wholesome individuals who have a chance to grow into worthwhile citizens of this great nation.

For living is a veritable obstacle course in today's Jamdown and many adults hath abandoned their parental responsibilities and art at sea as to how to guide their offspring towards being respectable and civilised human beings in days to come.

PICK UP SLACK

Verily I say to ye, 'tis the lords and ladies of the classrooms who in the wake of this phenomena art left to pick up the slack, administering and instilling discipline within Jamdown's children many of whom art simply incorrigible e'en while having to contend with belligerent and aggressive parents.

Behold, our educators art between a rock and a hard place: On the one hand, they art constantly exposed to the hostilities of knife-toting, machete-wielding, gun-slinging recalcitrant adolescents who art enticed by and predisposed to various psychotic manifestations instead of acquiring the learning for which school is intended; and on the other hand, they art perpetually at industrial sea with the administration to e'en acquire a respectable financial stability. In addition, there art some within society who blame them entirely for the declining state of an education system which was top-notch in the past and hath fallen on dire straits, e'en though they art the bastion that preserve the remnants of prestige within that sector.

Hail to the educators of the land, be thou of good cheer this day, and may thou enjoy long and prosperous lives, for thou art indeed true heroes of the rock, and thy contributions shall yet be celebrated. Hail, again I say hail. Selah.
