LETTER OF THE DAY - EOJ challenged on voter registration
THE EDITOR, Sir: IT BECAME very disconcerting to me recently when I realised that the vital human rights of some Jamaican voters were threatened.

Take pride in achievements
THE EDITOR, Sir: JAMAICANS SHOULD take pride in the fact that we continue to make notable contributions on the international stage in the areas of sports, education, music, cuisine, etc.

Relieve poverty in Sp Town
THE EDITOR, Sir: FEW weeks ago, in the space of two weeks, 17 persons were killed in Spanish Town.

Move against criminals now
THE EDITOR, Sir: I HAVE read in the papers and listened on the radio for the past year the interest the society has demanded of our politicians and security forces to curb and decrease criminals and their activities.

Pensioners and income tax
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM a bit puzzled about statements concerning pensioners and income tax. My monthly pension as a retired teacher well over the age of 65 is $21,513.64.
