JAMAICA QUALIFIED to the Caribbean Final Round of the 2006 CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup in emphatic style after finishing first in Group C with an 11-0 whipping of St. Kitts and Nevis in the opening game of a double header at Tony Spaulding Sports Complex yesterday evening.

In the first game, Kelly-Ann Sinclair (26th) and an own goal (46th) gave St. Lucia their second victory - a 2-1 win over Antigua-Barbuda, for whom Shennell Henry (67th) scored. The St. Lucians ended with six points.

The Reggae Girlz gained maximum nine points from three games, scoring 26 goals while conceding none with an impressive 5-0 win over St. Lucia, and 10-0 over Antigua-Barbuda earlier.

Nordia Reid, starting her first game of the competition, banged in three goals in the 5th, 27th and 32nd minutes. Captain Venecia Reid (39th, 69th) and substitute Shakira Duncan (55th, 90th) each grabbed a brace. Kimmia Parker in the 9th, Omolyn Davis in the 21st, Nicola Bell in the 42nd and a penalty by goalkeeper Paula Jackson in the 45th completed the rout.

Jamaica joined Group A winner Dominica Republic and Suriname from Group B in the Caribbean Final Round set for September at a venue to be announced. The final qualifier will be decided later on May 19 in Trinidad and Tobago.
