OVER 100 PERSONS were honoured at Saturday's University of Technology Awards. Top awards went to Antholan Jones, who was voted Student of the Year; Kimberley-Joe Munroe and Cheraulae Stewart who shared the Derek Dunn Award for community service; and Sherone Simpson and Gregory Little who were the Sports-woman and Sportsman of the Year, respectively.

On May 18, final-year students in the Department of Family and Consumer Studies at the University of Techno-logy, host the annual Family and Consumer Studies Con-ference. Sexuality among children and conflicts in the home are among the topics. Guest speaker is Pansy Primo-Griffith of the Family Court.

The Nursing Midwifery Research Centre of the University of the West Indies School of Nursing, Mona (UWISON) hosts an Inter-national Nursing Midwifery Research. Conference and Mary Seivwright Day, under the theme 'Changing Visions to Reality through Nursing Research 1966-2006'. The conference will be held from June 1-3, 2006, at the Sunset Jamaica Grande Hotel in Ocho Rios.
