Young athletes in action at Constant Spring

THE 2006 MILO Inter Kindergarten and Basic Schools championships take place at the Constant Sprint playing field today and tomorrow.

The days' activities are set to start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.

More than 900 children will compete in the event. Defending champions Apex Kinder Prep will seek to retain their trophy won last year at the same location.

Events over the two days will include a cheerleading competition, lunch kit race, potato race, flat race, math race, shuttle relays, obstacle race and catch the bus.

Athletes will compete in three classes - Class One (five-year-old); Class Two (four-year-old) and Class Three (three-year-old).

Alpha, Apex, Ascot, Auburn, Campbells, Cherubs, Chevannes, Elin, Four Square, Gospel, Herro Blair, Laiyce Grey, Liberty, Little Angels and Moms Love are the teams down to take part.

Admission to enter the grounds will be $100 (adult) and $50 (children).
