SPANISH TOWN, St. Catherine:
A NO-ORDER was granted in the larceny case of Bennedetto Perschilli, manager at New Era Homes 2000 Ltd., when he appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
It is alleged that, between December last year and January 6, Mr. Perschilli stole a compactor and a shaker from Henry Lue's property in Angels, St. Catherine. Investigations by the police led them to Hillrun district, St. Catherine on a site that was operated by New Era where the compactor was found buried. The shaker was also found at the premises.
Detective Sergeant Ottie Williams, attached to the Spanish Town Police Station, arrested and charged Perschilli with larceny.
When the case was called up Mr. Lue's lawyer, Christine Hudson, told Resident Magistrate Lorna Errar-Gayle that an out of court settlement had been brokered between her client and Mr. Perschilli. This was endorsed by Mr. Perschilli's lawyer Sean Kinghorne. The RM then granted a no-order in the case.
