PAULWELL
ARC SYSTEMs this month celebrates the 10th anniversary of its establishment. Phillip Paulwell, Minister of Industry, Technology, Energy and Commerce, has expressed his congratulations to the company.
I AM very pleased to see the progress made by ARC Systems Limited since your incorporation in 1996, the very same year our National Industrial Policy (NIP) was launched.
To be competitive, our firms must be innovative in all phases of their operations and I believe that with over 200 employees, representing some 50 years of combined experience in the construction, building material and distribution industry, ARC Systems can be aptly described as a Jamaican success story.
As indicated in the NIP, our firms must build and sustain their ability to compete across many different product dimensions, including design, packaging, delivery time, range and variety of products.
It is no wonder, therefore, that you have been recognised by your peers in the industry for being a leader in the field of manufacturing and job creation.
I certainly hope that during the next 10 years of operation you will be well on the way towards achieving your goal of being the leading manufacturer and distributor of building materials in the Caribbean and Latin America region.
For our part, we will continue to provide the necessary support through our policies to promote investment, productivity and growth, and to ensure the competitiveness of companies such as ARC Systems Limited.
I congratulate you on the achievement of your 10th anniversary and wish you all the best for the future.
- Phillip Paulwell - Minister of Industry, Technology, Energy and Commerce
