Letter of the day - Director defends voter registration process
THE EDITOR, Sir: PLEASE ALLOW me some space to respond to Mr. Frank Hill, and like-minded persons, who wrote a letter titled 'EOJ challenged on voter registration', that was printed on May 13, in your newspaper.

Sidewalk ghetto invasion
THE EDITOR, Sir: WHAT A shame and disgrace in Half-Way Tree last weekend! From Friday, May 12, right through to Sunday, May 14, about 25 new sidewalk vendors massively invaded all the sidewalks in Half-Way Tree, particularly the one beside York Pharmacy.

Touch of class for downtown
THE EDITOR, Sir: ALLOW ME to commend the Downtown Kingston Youth and Community Tourism Organisation (D.T.K.Y.C.T.O.) for their interest in bringing back life in the downtown Kingston area.

Offensive comments
THE EDITOR, Sir: I FIND some of the sentiments expressed in Colonel MacMillan's 'crime report' most offensive, where he refers to the judiciary as being corrupt.
