Rum Lane residents in anti-violence protest
ANGRY RESIDENTS from Rum Lane in Central Kingston protested on East Queen Street near the Kingston Central Police head-quarters yesterday, demanding protection from marauding gunmen who shot three persons, including a three-year-old girl.

Two robbers killed in shoot-out with 'Bigga' Ford
TWO ROBBERS who held up several customers at a business establishment off Red Hills Road, St. Andrew, yesterday were shot and killed in a shoot-out with veteran street cop, Deputy Superintendent Cornwall 'Bigga' Ford.


Exporter loses appeal
TRADE EXPORTER June Lewis, of Duhaney Meadows, Kingston 20, on Thursday lost her appeal against a conviction and three-year-prison sentence for attempting to export 9,000 pounds of compressed ganja.
