Woman Inc gets co-patron

HER EXCELLENCY the Most Hon. Mrs. Rheima Hall, wife of Governor-General Kenneth Hall, has made a commitment to help Woman Inc. in any way possible. Her commitment came during a courtesy call by members of the association's executive, at Kings House on Monday.

Mrs. Hall is a past president of the association having served as president in 1995. She notes that though she has not been actively involved in the association for years she still feels close to it. Woman Inc. provides services to women who have been victims of rape, carnal abuse, incest or domestic violence.

Current patron, Gloria Palomino, extended the invitation to Mrs. Hall to be co-patron of the association. She accepted noting that Woman Inc. is one of the associations she could not say no to. She noted that she has a very busy schedule, but she would assist the association in any way that she could. "Any way that I can help Woman Inc. I will. Woman Inc. is very close to my heart."

President of Woman Inc., Joyce Hewett noted that the meeting was a success. She said that they covered all that was on the agenda. "We left feeling pleased to have been there to share with her, she's back with us and embraced the cause we serve."

Gloria is Woman of the Year 2006

PATRON OF Woman Inc. Gloria Palomino has been named Woman of the Year 2006 by the Alpha Alumni. Ms. Palomino had served the association in many capacities.

She is past treasurer, past president founding member, Woman Inc. trustee member and Patron.

ACTIVITIES: Woman Inc. will host a church service at Stella Maris Church Shortwood Road on Sunday June 4 at 9:00 a.m. A brunch will follow.
