LETTER OF THE DAY - Aftercare needed for eye patients
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM a little disappointed in the article published on Saturday, May 27, with regards to "patients who have been experiencing difficulty after the surgery performed in Cuba."

A more balanced review
THE EDITOR, Sir: WITH NO access to internet I have only today (May 24) managed to read your Sunday, May 21, Lifestyle Editor Barbara Ellington 'review' of the film Glory to Gloriana. It was most welcome since on getting a free viewing of it at the Carib.

Clear the air on Adams
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM somewhat ambivalent on the reinstatement of Senior Superintendent Reneto Adams to active duties as it is not clear who is to reinstate him - whether it should be the Commissioner of Police or the Police Services Commission.

Palace, piracy and patronage
THE EDITOR, Sir: MOVIE PIRACY is unaccept-able, especially when being distributed for resale to the open market. It may be argued that nothing is wrong if you download it to watch by yourself or with your friends...

The plight of pensioners
THE EDITOR, Sir: IN THE recent Budget presenta-tion in Parliament, the Leader of the Opposition, Bruce Golding suggested to the Government that the threshold for government pensioners be lifted from its present level to one million dollars per annum...

Normative scandals
THE EDITOR, Sir: NEWS THAT Mayor Desmond McKenzie has been ratified in his position is disappointing, but comes as no surprise. Disappointing because there was hope of something new and different in the politics of this country.
