Wanted man found dead
published: Wednesday | May 31, 2006

Stephanie Elliott, Gleaner Writer

MAY PEN, Clarendon:

A MAN who was wanted by the Clarendon police in relation to the murder of a teenage girl was himself killed several metres from his home in Bucknor district, May Pen, yesterday.

The police are theorising that his killing was a reprisal for the girl's murder last Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old labourer, Wayne Lee. He was wanted in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Camille Henry, also of Bucknor.

The May Pen police had been summoned to the community yesterday after residents reported that a body was seen along the Bucknor main road. Lee's body was found with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Superintendent of Police Derrick Knight said the ex-convict was also wanted in connection with other murders and armed robberies in the parish.
