ON SUNDAY, May 28, the patients of the Bustamante Hospital for Children, some parents, siblings, friends and staff had a memorable treat.

The treat was hosted by Butterfly Kidz, a party planning service for children between the age of one to 16 and operated by the mother-daughter team of Elaine and Raquel Phillpotts.

The festivities included music and were guided by Master of Ceremonies Cheriece Edwards, a Butterfly Kidz team member. Clown McMillan treated the children to face painting and balloon art. Six members of Ashe did a medley in tribute to reggae stars.

There was also a dance competition by some of the young patients, who had everyone in stitches with their masterful performance of all the latest dancehall moves. They received prizes for their efforts.

Surprise guest performer 'Lucky Charm' overwhelmed the little ones with his performance.

12 VOLUNTEERS

Butterfly Kidz executed the festivities with the help of 12 volunteers: Raquel Blake, Kristin Cousely, Cheriece Edwards, Evelyn Johnson, Errol Johnson, Tiffany Leon, Danique Patterson, Damian Rose, Vilma Reid, Archie Reid, Tracy Stewart and Marsha Xymines.

Loot bags were handed out to all the children and the staff of the Bustamante Hospital all pitched in and assisted with deliveries to those too ill to venture away from the wards.
