Most Hon Wonder Woman
published: Saturday | June 3, 2006

Mai'khi C'Nia

NOW IT came to pass that "Sista P" was on the job but nigh one-half of a calendar year and already she had begun to display traces of ruler fatigue. Yea, Madam Premiere inherited not the ability to side-step overactive media interaction and to be aloof á-la the Fresh Prince, and Jamdowners art running her ragged.

In the days when the nurse became 'The Most Honourable' and obliterated the glass ceiling with the sheer strength of a woman, the baker rebuffed the notion of any such accolade, for he merely hankers after the job of premiere, but not its attendant frills.

Yea, in those days the premiere was promptly accessible to multimedia and this was unusual in Jamdown for many moons, for her predecessor ascribed to the philosophy that one could not be misquoted if one hath made no comment, and getting the Fresh Prince to express an impromptu rhetoric outside of parliament was tantamount to extracting a solidly embedded triple-root wisdom molar.

RUB SHOULDERS

But the nurse was on a different plane and she hath unconditionally declared when she assumed the mantle of premiere that she would trod the highways and byways of the rock, and drop in at the corners to rub shoulders with the common man on his ends, so as to be conscious of his concerns and be guided by his aspirations in developing her strategy for a bottom up approach to governance.

HISTORICAL JUNCTURES

Verily I say to ye, the nurse must not have beheld historical junctures where the most idolised defenders of the poor art propelled to martyrdom by the assassin's projectile.

Behold, the nurse hath set unto herself an inimical precedence when she intervened in the WINDALCO affair and the Air Traffic controllers stand-off early in her tenure, for she thereby hath placed herself into a position now where for every spat on the rock the principals art ignoring modern conciliatory practices and art agitating for the 'Sista P' model of intervention.

Verily I say to ye, she shall presently require a tiara and magic rope and like the comic book heroine Wonder Woman shall have to soar from point to point all over the rock dousing varied conflagrations which art derived from domestic, social, and industrial origins.

Hear O Jamdown, thou art fashioning the premiere into a one-woman administration and banishing her fellow Cabinet Ministers into redundancy. Yea, for an extended period thou hath demanded restriction in the size of central administration, and the nurse hath committed to heeding thy lamentations on this and myriad issues which aileth thee. Behold, thou art holding her to a literal sense of the objective and she must now transform into Super Girl to make good on her designs. Knowest ye not that thy leader can never be at thy beck and call at a parochial level addressing matters which art the purview of others under her command?

Dearly beloved, exceptional matters of state exist which demand the premiere's explicit attention that wouldst suffer if she is occupied holding thy hands and not tending to them. Hearken ye and cut the nurse some slack. Allow her to get on with the monstrous task of managing the nation's business, and to put in the hours required to earn herself worthy of the 'Most Honourable' moniker, for she is not yet deserving of it being bestowed upon her, according to he who is the repository of political wisdom on the rock.

Peace, guidance, and harmony be unto thee O Jamdown, may thou continue to be tickled by these things. Selah.
