NAGGO HEAD and Negril FC will clash in a do-or-die encounter at the Ferdie Neita Park for the final premier league spot of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) play-off comes to an end.

In the other game, the already qualified August Town on 10 points, take on St. George's FC on three points at Lynch Park, in a game of academic interest only.

Second-place Negril, the Western Confederation cham-pion, are on seven points, one ahead of Naggo Head, the south central winner and an epic battle is expected at Ferdie Neita Park.

The last time both teams met, Naggo Head scored an away 2-0 win and would want
to repeat that performance and secure the final spot.

Negril are in pole position and know that a point will be good enough and the onus will definitely be on Naggo Head to press for the victory, which could leave oceans of space at the back of their defence.

Jerome Waite, coach of Negril, said although his team was beaten by Naggo Head the last time they met, he is confident of promotion.

Said Waite: "We know that we have played them in the first game and they have beaten us and we know they are booming with confidence, knowing the fact that this is their home game. But we are the team in front and all we need from this game is a point so we will have to approach it in a different manner."

When quizzed if he would be employing a more defensive tactic, he told The Gleaner, "Not necessarily but we know that we have to be more cautious."

Meanwhile, Harold Thomas, coach of Naggo Head, said his team is a point behind their opponents, but they know what to do.

Said Thomas: "It all comes down to this, one game, every-thing to play for. My players are focused and they know what they have to do and they will go out and do it."
