Ballards Valley, Todd Town face off

THE LAST two semi-finalists in the Intown SuperSave/Uprising Youth Club cricket competition will be known tomorrow.

Ballards Valley face Todd Town at Ballards Valley in the day's feature while Cheapside take on Rising Star at Cheapside in the final two quarter-final matches. Both games start at 11:00 a.m.

Shane Powell, who notched up a century in his last match, Damion Bryce of Supreme Ventures double winners St. Catherine and Jasson Nelson of Melbourne will line up for Ballards Valley while national representatives Evon McInnis and Alton Beckford, along with Conroy Miller, Tyrone Vassell and Davian Davidson will turn out for Todd Town.

In the other match, Wayne Cuff, Mel Wint, Vinard Woolcock, Ainsley Goss, Kenroy Williams and Stezon Patterson are in the Cheapside line-up while former national batsman George Powell will lead Rising Star's charge.

In last weekend's matches, Lititz/South Ridge and Dalton booked their semi-final places.

At Lititz/South Ridge: Lititz/South Ridge ­ 276 (Donovan Sinclair, 88, Orville Pennant, 83; Chris Dyer, 4-44, Lenox Simpson, 2-44) beat Uprising Youth Club ­ 127 (Vernon Boswell, 44, Wayne Billings, 27, Simpson, 29; Sinclair, 4-28, Troy Powell, 3-39) by 149 runs.

At Chocolate Hole: Chocolate Hole ­ 118 (Howard Harris, 26, Dorant McLeod, 20; Neil McNally, 5-20, Lance Whirely, 3-25) lost to Dalton ­ 119-3 (Ian Roach, 37, Jermaine Lynch, 21; Tyrece Whitely, 2-16) by seven wickets.
