A sea of mess
published: Monday | June 5, 2006

THE EDITOR, Sir:

FOR MANY years, questions have been asked and concerns expressed as to the probity of those who hold and seek political office in this country. Unfortunately, very little has changed.

Therefore, it is about time that the searchlight be focused before the green-light is given. The fact of the matter is far too many persons of questionable character are allowed to go through the loop. Because we have kept our eyes closed and have adopted an ostrich-like approach/posture, many scandals and corrupt practices have been swept under the carpet.

The share brazenness and the contempt suggest that as a people, we have allowed ourselves to be hijacked. Consequently, we have been engulfed in a sea of mess.

I will not vote for anyone who is 'linked' genetically or otherwise. My vote will be jealously guarded this time out.

I am, etc.,
