TEMPLER
SANCIA TEMPLER, who joined the government's trade and invest-ment agency, JAMPRO in April as a deputy to former president Pat Francis, has been appointed head of the organisation and is likely to get the job per-manently, Wednesday Business sources say.
Francis headed JAMPRO for a decade before stepping down last week to take up a post as a deputy general-secretary at the headquarters in Brussels of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) group of countries.
Templer was senior vice- president of the Airports Authority of Jamaica (AAJ), in charge of corporate planning and business development.
Although Francis' job was advertised, senior sources said that it was expected that Sancia Templer will eventually be confirmed in the post.
"She is held in high regard," said one source. "Although there were a number of applicants for the post it is now felt that Ms. Templer may be the best choice."
