'Party-pooper' law
published: Sunday | June 11, 2006

Daraine Luton, Staff Reporter

IF YOU are a cricketfan who enjoys taking horns, pot covers, shells, musical instru-ments and big flags to Sabina Park, you had better get into the habit of leaving them at home.

Insisting on taking them into the venue or having your own Cricket World Cup brand may land you into big trouble with the law and this could see you being forced to pay hefty fines or do jail time.

Not even those big baskets of food and large radios that you are used to carrying will be permitted inside Sabina Park if Parliament approves the drafted ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 Bill. These usually benign sports paraphernalia will be regarded as weapons by the tournament organisers.
