Back to the drawing board for the Boyz
published: Sunday | June 11, 2006

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IT'S BACK to the drawingboard for the Raggae Boyz and I am glad this happened. The reason for Marlon King not playing needed to be explained in the press but we need to take care of our own and stop being stubborn with our rules to punish players.

In an important game as this, even a friendly, we should not have made our rules get the better of us. I do not know the situation about King, but what if he had played?

On the game itself, the commentators made us feel that we do not belong there and I believe we do not.

We are not equipped with the exposure of leadership for this team. The Brazilian coach that helped the team to the World Cup (1998) should be sought.

One reason our coaches are not exposed to the social, political and economics of the game.

To build a team means finding qualified officials who can make it happen.

I am, etc.,

EVERTON
