H&L CEO clarifies Kingfish statement
published: Friday | June 16, 2006

HOLNESS

HARDWARE AND Lumber's chief executive officer, Anthony Holness, has clarified a statement made at the company's annual general meeting on June 12, 2006 that the success of Operation Kingfish was one of the contributing factors to the fall in the revenues of the company in 2005.

He indicated that the statement made was one of fact and stated clearly that the company does not in any way condone money laundering wherever these activities take place in the economy. Further, he said the statement was in no way intended to convey the company's support of these activities.
