A warped sense of justice
published: Friday | June 16, 2006

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE TRUEST justice of all is to be absolutely sure that a man/woman is innocent until proven guilty. I am surprised that the staunch human rights lobbyist Dr. Gomes is dismayed with the reinstatement of SSP Adams. What an injustice it would be to deny his return to the police force when he has not been found guilty of a crime.

I sometimes wonder what the role of the JFJ is. It seems more often than once that they frequently speak out against the 'murders' of those with tainted reputations. What about the lives of the innocent that were taken by such ones? I look forward to Dr. Gomes spewing as much venom over such ones as she does over the reinstatement of someone who was found innocent by our judicial system.

I am, etc.,
