THE EDITOR, Sir:

KINDLY ALLOW me to express my love and appreciation for a wonderful father, Rowland Gordon, as he celebrates his day this Father's Day.

Any man can be a father, but it takes a special person to be a dad. Therefore, as your loving daughter I just want to say thank you. I may not say this everyday but I thank you for all that you do, for all your thoughtful ways and most importantly for being the wonderful person that you are.

Dad, for all those times I left it unsaid, thank you. Thanks for being there for me and for showing me the way, for being patient with me even when I made it difficult for you. For believing in me and encouraging me to dream and being such an inspiring presence in my life.
