LETTER OF THE DAY - A Jamaica Fund for diaspora takeover
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WAS overwhelmed with joy to hear that Jamaica may finally capitalise on its greatest export: PEOPLE! For years, the diaspora has been chanting the words 'we waan go home' and no one has had the time to figure out how to get us back...

Acting as sheriffs
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM truly appalled at the Jamaican policing policies; they are not honestly trying to tackle crime in a positive way. Occasionally, they issue a list of wanted men, so why not publish photos of them...


Sting operations
THE EDITOR, Sir: I DO not intend to oversimplify the issue of extortionism , but it can be dealt with easily. The security forces need to get their own taxis and minibuses and set up sting operations, like they would do in the United States.


Give respect
THE EDITOR, Sir: IN RESPONSE to the article - 'Diaspora Conference - Biggest Business' with reference to Jamaicans living abroad contributing early to Jamaica, let's start by giving some respect to us when we travel to Jamaica.


Parking woes at UWI, Mona
