No PNP selection yet in NW St Bess
published: Monday | June 19, 2006

Ryon Dyer, Gleaner Writer

BLACK RIVER, St. Elizabeth:

THE PEOPLE'S National Party (PNP) is yet to identify a candidate for the constituency of North West St. Elizabeth.

Shortly after the 2002 general election, Rev. Stanley Redwood resigned as caretaker for the constituency.

He was defeated by the Jamaica Labour Party's J.C. Hutchinson.

Caswell Daley, a member of the PNP constituency executive in north west St. Elizabeth told The Gleaner on Sunday that the party secretariat is yet to identify a candidate to represent the constituency in the next general election.

But he said it was expected that would be settled by month end.

Late last year, businessman Lloyd Myrie, was elected chairman of the constituency executive and since then he has been carrying out some of the functions of a constituency caretaker.
