Carnival cruise profits sink on higher fuel costs
MIAMI (AP): HIGHER FUEL costs and a sluggish Caribbean cruise market combined to reduce second-quarter profit 2 per cent at Carnival Corp., the world's largest cruise operator reported Friday.

US foreclosures jump
NEW YORK (AP): AS MORE hybrid adjustable rate mortgages adjust upward and housing prices dip, many Americans can't refinance out of this squeeze. They are finding themselves trapped in too-high monthly payments, and some face foreclosures.
