SUDAN: President says no to UN force
KHARTOUM (Reuters): SUDANESE PRESIDENT Omar Hassan al-Bashir ruled out letting U.N. troops into the Darfur region, saying he would not permit such a deployment as long as he was in power, the state news agency said yesterday.

LIBERIA: Taylor arrives in The Hague
AMSTERDAM (Reuters): FORMER LIBERIAN president Charles Taylor has arrived in the Netherlands for his trial at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Dutch news agency ANP reported yesterday.


MIDEAST: Missing US soldiers found dead
BAGHDAD,(Reuters): TWO UNITED States soldiers missing in Iraq for three days have been found dead, their bodies showing signs of 'barbaric' torture, an Iraqi general said yesterday, after an intensive hunt involving thousands of troops.
