BVI prepares for more constitutional talks
published: Friday | June 23, 2006

TORTOLA, BVI (CMC):

Members of the BVI constitutional negotiating team are preparing for a second round of talks with their counterparts from the United Kingdom over recommended changes to the BVI's Constitution.

The second round of talks will take place June 26-28 at the Office of the Legislative Council in Road Town, and come just over three months since the BVI opened constitutional negotiations with the U.K. in March. "The work we are doing to advance our Constitution is the most important action this administration will undertake," said Chief Minister Dr. Orlando Smith.
