MY DEARS, who would have thought that the 'Blender' would have caused such a stir! Well, it has, my luvs, and how!
And then there was that rather unpleasant little business at that directors meeting a few days later, which saw the Bailiff, making quite the appearance and serving the President with summonses.
To say that there were a few red faces all around would be to put it rather mildly, but it seems that some who actually witnessed the affair were more embarrassed than the President, who was actually being served!
Anyway, now the talk is about how to terminate the presidency in order to keep the name of the organisation above the fray! More anon, my dears, as this here stew is still brewing!
Anyway, the north coast has been positively kicking with fabulousness! The Clippers are in Port Antonio, and they are rocking tha place like everybody's business! And then there's absolutely no room at the inn over there at Hedonism III, Breezes Runaway Bay and Grand Lido Braco as the American network ABC is in the house and they are partying hearty and then some!
NO ROOM AT THE INN
And there's no room at Grand Lido Negril either as an all-American group, going under the moniker Blue World, has completely taken over that resort for the week and are partying like everybody's business!
It's not all about the sea, sun and fun though, as indeed, the group is busy trying to identify a school over there in Negril that it plans to adopt and supply with computers, books and other accoutrements conducive to learning in a relaxed environment! More to come, so keep your eyes on these pages!
And speaking of Hedonism III, its resident cha-cha boy, the bubbly Stephen Pottinger, celebrated his special day on Wednesday with international phone-hook-ups and all that jazz. The birthday wishes poured in from practically every corner of the globe!
BIRTHDAY GIRL
Last Friday, it was all about celebrating the birthday of the effervescent head of the Guardsman Group of Companies, the oh-so-charming Valerie Juggan-Brown, as to mark the occasion, the founder and chair of the security conglomerate, Kenny Benjamin, and his staffers threw open the fortified portals of the group's Old Hope Road headquarters and hosted one happening little shindig. For the group boss, that was as good as it gets!
The oh-so-svelte and statuesque Sonja Sutherland-Dumetz and the fabulously hot Audrey Miller did the planning honours and they took no prisoners and only like they can, served up all the right ingredients for a fabulous do and when it was all over, the consensus was that indeed, it was all that!
Dears, it really was a family affair - the Guardsman family that is. Indeed, staffers from the group's companies, Marksman, Guardsman, Clear Channel, Serenity, Sign and Guardsman Elite VIP Guards, all packed into the fabulous space that is the headquarters, along with clients, friends and well-wishers.
It was really a love fest as guests not only poured into the fab leisure park of the headquarters, but they also poured out their love and admiration for the lady who has been at the helm of the 6,000-man-strong group since Benjamin relinquished day-to-day control of the companies some years ago.
FRIENDS CELEBRATING
It was more of a fabulous lyme, than a party per se, as indeed, it was more about the gathering than it was about the profiling. In fact, no profiling here, just a grouping of friends celebrating one of their own with copious amounts of libations and a fare that was fab-to-the-bone!
Naturally, there was a birthday cake and quite the number too, as it was a Dawn Mitchell creation. Some guests are still even now relishing the fab strawberry shortcake that was the belle of the ball!
And with the toasting and feasting out of the way, the birthday girl decided it was her party, and she could cry if she wanted to, but she did not, opting instead to put on her dancing shoes and dance up a storm to some of contemporary music's more popular arias!
My dears, it was that kind of a night - all hunky-dory and peachy, and with some fab people in attendance, as among those out were MP Audley Shaw; the fabulous Cindy Breakspeare; Alva Anderson; Jean Lowrie-Chin; Dr. Donovan Calder; the oh-sooo-fab Sheila Benjamin-McNeill; Rae Barrett; Harold Brady; the lovely Pamela Lawson; Tanny Shirley; Ruddy Hamilton; Faye Nash-Campbell; Vinay Wallia; Claude Clements; R. Christene King; Cmdr John McFarlane; Maj. Johanna Lewin; Robbie Epstein; Miranda Ragbeir; Lloyd Lovindeer; Norma Black; Milton Moulton; Christine Cover; David Bell; the lovely Donna Harpaul; David Williams; the fab Renée Menzies-McCallum; Craig Morrison; Sheraine Murray; Maj. Ian Miles; Capt. Ewan Oliver; the charming Jerrine Jones; Peter van Whervin; Diane Tomlinson; Peter Morris; Norma Saunders; and Paul Bernard, plus a number of others.
And kudos to the staffers who made it happen with their fabulous service! My dears, it was something good!
