Breezy partying at sea
published: Tuesday | June 27, 2006

Krista Henry, Staff Reporter

THE CROWD was small, but the vibe was big at You promotion's Breezy: the Booze and Cruise Edition.

Breezy is one of the few super inclusive yacht themed parties of its kind, the concept is a unique one carried off with style.

Patrons walked to their seaborne destination on a red carpet lit by candles unto a well-decorated yacht. There, they were treated to a selection of Chinese food with two bars and waiters to attend to their every need.

Although getting off to a late start, the crowd was quick to enjoy their party experience as the selector proclaimed "let's go sailing, wave Kingston goodbye."

Coppershot Disco, the resident sound for the night, had the patrons rocking, dancing and having a good time.

From the old school dancehall tunes of Bashment Girl to Elephant Man's Crazy Hype and moving to the latest tunes with a Mavado and Matterhorn mix of 'Wha dem a do'" and Dutty Wine, patrons never left the dance floor.

As the selector gleefully pointed out, one of the benefits of a party at sea is that there are no police.

GOT CRAZY

While out on the open sea away from anywhere else, patrons could feel in their own little world where anything goes.

Patrons got crazy as the men unbuttoned shirts to cool off from 'wukking' up a heat and women eased their feet going barefoot to better position themselves for the next dance. The women dutty wined, patrons gangsta rocked, stoogied, bad man forwarded and much more for the entire night.

This is Breezy's premiere on the party scene and other than the late start it was a hit with party goers.

Even after the ship returned to port, patrons still lingered around lyming to the tunes coming from the yacht, having fully enjoyed their cruise experience.
