Bounty placed on Montego Bay gangsters
published: Friday | July 7, 2006

WESTERN BUREAU:

A bounty has been placed on the heads of the ten notorious gangsters in St. James, five of whom are wanted in connection with the July 4 massacre of five persons in the Norwood community.

Citizens stand to be rewarded sums of up to $500,000 for each gangster who is arrested and charged. The money will be channelled through a special management fund.

"We expect that this sum of money will attract persons with information to come forward and help us ... with this information we are able to go directly in a very surgical way to get these notorious men," said Superintendent Warren Clarke, officer in charge of the St. James Police Division.

The July 4 suspects, who are from Norwood are members of the Stone Crusher gang. They are:

- Troy otherwise called 'Tribal

- Bungie or 'Warren'

- Banga, brother of Yanique 'Grimes' Davis, killed by police on June 6

- Blacka Shine, whose real name is Andrew Cox, and Kevin

Please call:

Persons with information are being asked to call the St. James police hotline at 952-2301 or 119, Operation Kingfish at 811 or Crime Stop 1-888-991-4000.
