THE EDITOR, Sir:
WHAT'S WRONG at the Registrar General's Depart-ment? I have heard several friends complaining about the service received at the RGD and I could not understand their pain until I found myself locked up in their prison cell awaiting my daughter's birth certificate before I was released. Well, it seems I was granted a life sentence.
We all want Madam Prime Minister to fix several of the country's problems but, honestly, RGD needs more than fixing.
BETTER MANAGEMENT NEEDED
It needs management, structure and most of all organisation. I am still wondering what my honourable Prime Minister is awaiting before she addresses this problem.
It took me more than three trips to its St. Ann's Bay branch before my application could be processed (mind you, this was no fault of mine) and will probably take another 50 years before it's delivered.
I tried calling on several occasions and was greeted by shrill responses. I visited the office but to no avail.
Honestly, I am annoyed. What I need is an immediate solution from the leading and opposing political parties. I am fed up and so is the public. We are disgusted by RGD service.
I am, etc.,
