THERE IS no better place to watch the World Cup Finals while enjoying scrumptious seafood than at Little Ochie Seafood Carnival, happening tomorrow.

The family event, set against the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea at a venue renowned for the finest seafood, takes place in Alligator Pond, that borders Manchester and St Elizabeth.

It should be a carnival indeed as a variety of seafood such as shrimp, crab, fish and lobster will be on the menu. A carnival is not possible without entertainment and the organisers have made provisions. On the line-up is Fab Five Band, John Holt, Ity and Fancy Cat, Mr. Perfect, Peter Lloyd, Noddy Virtue and others.

The organisers are also cognisant of the World Cup Finals between Italy and France. A large-screen television set will be placed inside a newly-built hall. This hall has a capacity of 400 persons.

"It is a lovely hall so patrons can sit comfortably to eat and watch the match," Thelma Bartley, event coordinator, told The Gleaner.

Children will not be left out and a variety of activities including bounceabout will be provided.

In its eighth staging, the carnival begins at 10:00 a.m. Sunday and ends at 2:00 a.m. on Monday. Admission: $500 for adults and $100 for children.
