CINDY WRIGHT, Miss Jamaica Universe 2006, unveiled a part of her wardrobe for the international leg of the competition on Wednesday night at Pulse's Headquarters, Trafalgar Road, New Kingston.

Wright modelled 14 pieces, including designs from Cooyah, Puma, Max Brown and Catch a Fire, and the audience seemed pleased with most of the designs. According to Kingsley Cooper, CEO of Pulse, Wright was supplied with clothing for every occasion, from the casual to the formal.

The Puma tracksuit bore the colours of the Jamaican flag, black, green and gold, and so did the track shoes. Wright also got some applause for an Elise design. She wore a black spandex halter top with ruffles lining the front and a white peasant skirt with sequins and other designs.

UZURI GOWN

Another hit was a casual Catch A Fire design. It was a white cuffed sleeve jacket with green designs and brown cuffed shorts.

The final design of the night was an Uzuri gown, which Wright had to model several times for those in the audience. The long aqua gown had a mermaid theme; the top half was lace and decorated with sequins, while the bottom half was made from silk and layered with chiffon.

Wright, however, told The Sunday Gleaner her favourite piece is a pink strapless Catch a Fire dress. The dress was silk and predominantly pink, while the bottom half had black velvet layered frills.

Wright also said she hasn't decided which dress she will be wearing on coronation night. "I'm excited, but I'm trying not to think about it though, I'm just going there to do my best," she said.

The Miss Universe 2006 coronation show is in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday, July 23.
