Henry-Wilson failed GSAT

THE EDITOR, Sir:
Senator Maxine Henry-Wilson has failed to score a passing grade on her GSAT results. This was evident when they could not find any space to place her after a long and tedious process of going to schools and asking principals to accommodate her. Sounds familiar?
This was the story given by the minister when the parents and students were unable to acquire the results of the sacrificial examination. My questions are: Why weren't individuals made aware that the results would have been late? Is this a government for the people? Why wait until the appointed time when adrenaline levels were already at their peak, enough to spark chaos? Where is the courtesy in the process?
The crux of the matter, however, lies in the ability of the policy makers to see the crystal clear fact that more spaces would be needed for the present batch of students. A crystal ball isn't necessary for this transparent conclusion. The last census, which is one means of providing data for the development of plans and policies for the country, must have been evaluated and recommendations made! The minister plays the pivotal role in this process.
