NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVE Robert Scarlett could be heading back to Harbour View, his first club, for the beginning of the 2006-07 Wray and Nephew National Premier League (NPL).

According to a source close to Harbour View, the left-sided player, who is also called 'Little Bibby', has made clear his intentions of rejoining the club with which he tasted success in the NPL.

"He has indicated an interest in rejoining us and it could be a reality soon. He was born and raised in Harbour View so the door is always open to him," the source said.

Twenty-seven-year-old Scarlett did not figure in the NPL last season after he opted to join the U.S. Major League Soccer (MLS) where he was placed with Real Salt Lake, the club of countryman Andy Williams. His contract was not renewed at the end of the season and he has been without a club since.

NO CONTACT

According to the source, there has been no contact with Jermaine Hue, another Harbour View stalwart who like Scarlett left the club for the MLS. Hue, who joined the Kansas City Wizards, had a longer stint in the MLS than Scarlett but was released recently, early into his second season.

"Some issues are to be sorted out so it is just a matter of time that we sit down and decide the terms and conditions and all of that will happen soon," the source said on Scarlett's imminent return.

Scarlett, a fierce competitor for Harbour View, could play a vital role in the club's quest for a title in the upcoming season. After unexpectedly building up a sizeable 13-point lead, the then new-look Harbour View team could not keep the pace and were overtaken by eventual winners Waterhouse.

Harbour View have subsequently restructured their coaching staff with former Portmore United coach, Lenworth 'Teacher' Hyde, handed the reins of the senior team and former head coach Donovan 'DV' Hayles taking over the youth programme.
