Hell on earth
published: Thursday | July 13, 2006

THE EDITOR, Sir:

MY MIND fluctuates between three worlds; heaven, hell and this here hell on earth, where man has lowered his conscience to that of any other animal in the kingdom; where our lives are not our own, but held at ransom to the mercy of those parading around in human skin; where children are not our future, for no sooner are they born, they die and leave young mothers and grannies to cry. And the rest of us look on in horror praying that our existence is prolonged until tomorrow.

My mind fluctuates between three worlds; heaven, hell and this here hell on earth, where hope is scattered and dreams are shattered. For why dream when life is a perpetual nightmare exploding before our very eyes, where men beat their wives, boys sodomised, and the perpetuators live to tell lies?

Who will caress justice as she cries? Who will challenge the big bad wolf and save Little Red Riding Hood? Who will be David and go to war with Goliath?

I am, etc.,
