I Am Paid For fancied

ROBIN'S BAY, ridden by Charles Hussey, wins the third race at Caymanas Park on Wednesday. - IAN ALLEN/STAFF PHOTOGRAPHER

BOTH THE Pick-9 and Super-6 start anew on tomorrow's Caymanas Park 10-race programme which commences at noon.

The Pick-9 will embrace races two to 10, the Super-6 races five to 10. We look at the Super-6.

It gets under way with restricted allowance race over the circular nine course in which the late kicking I AM PAID FOR will prove hard to beat.

LESS TO DO

Trained by Welsh Soutar, I AM PAID FOR failed by only a head to catch VICTORIA over this trip when last raced on June 3.

With less to do in present company, the 4-y-o gelding should prove too strong for main rivals ANAMALANIA and SPECIAL CAT in the seven-strong field.

VENOM, with Harding up, caught the eye when finishing second to FREE LANCE over 1200 metres last Saturday and is tipped to go one better in the sixth race over 1100 metres.

She had every chance when challenging for the lead a furlong out, but was beaten for speed by the winner and only has the sparingly-raced CELEBRATION TIME (now fitter) to fear in the eight-strong field.

In the seventh race for $160,000 claimers over a mile, good recent form is practically non-existent among the nine starters, but if NAVIGATOR reports even half the horse he was a year ago, it would not be much of a race.

NAVIGATOR, however, broke down and failed to finish in his last two races on April 8 and June 3. A safer bet must be Harding's mount SILVER WEDDING, who proved competitive in his last two races, the more recent on June 17 when finishing six lengths fourth to MASS JOE over 1500 metres.

DROPPED IN CLASS

FROMRUSSIAWITHLOVE, who beat all barring the out-of-class HOOKEDONJAZZ over 1700 metres on June 10 and is now dropped in class, gets the nod over recent winners CRUISING ALTITUDE, ALL FIRED UP and CORDITE in the eighth race.

Then, take ESTOY LISTO (working very well) to catch GIRL IN GOLD and HOUDINI AGAIN in the ninth race at 1300 metres for overnight allowance horses, and ROYAL MAJESTY in the closing straight five race in which the maximum 16 will run.
