Jushia Jackson is 'Patrao of the Year'
published: Tuesday | July 18, 2006

JACKSON

JUSHIA JACKSON, a Jamaican residing in Coventry in England, has been named Patrao of the Year for the Nando's chain of restaurants, comprising 124 outlets in Britain.

Mr. Jackson has worked with Nando's for the past three and a half years, starting as a manager trainee and being promoted to the level of general manager in less than a year. He was made responsible for the new Nando's outlet in Coventry in December 2003 and since then has made continuous improvements, resulting in promotion to partner status and this recent award. This award signifies that Mr. Jackson has maintained the highest standard of measurables, including audit checks for health and food safety, highest level of profits and highest sales growth.

Before leaving Jamaica in 2002, Mr. Jackson was operations manager for the Domino's food chain. He is the first black Patrao appointed by Nando's.

Mr. Jackson is the son of Donald Jackson and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Jackson, Sr.
